Rfactor 2 best track mods4/17/2024 So if you want to race in rf2 join a league, if you like casual pick up racing AC has the edge as far as numbers go but look for servers with MR ! the drivers seem to behave a little better there ! but the league servers have plenty of action. In rf2 the public lobby's are all but dead. Its a great way for recruiting drivers for our championships ! If you fire up AC and go search the open servers you will always find servers with 10- 24 drivers most are track days at nords ! lol but if you look you can find some great racing servers like our SRO server that is open and has lots of traffic! It seems the public loves 15min Q with 5-7 lap races on a loop. I find that AC has a bigger open public lobby crowed ,when compared to rf2. Now when it comes to being behind the wheel in battle do any of these things rely matter, mmmm probably not as both sims provide epic racing once your driving. I just try to adjust my sets to try & get it to turn lol. but unless your a rocket silentest you wont even know. However the new DX 11 stuff looks fantastic ! so its more down to personal opinion !Īs for the driving ,AC is a dream to drive and the gpx are superb ,although if you look deep into the sim as pointed out if you check AC forum you will find some short comings in the psyxs department that have been discovered by some of the more advanced modders ,as a result AC cars all suffer from that ever present under steer ,its something in the suspension geometry. lolĪc owners out number rf2 owners by like 3 million !ĪC might have the edge for now with gps. This is good for the console crowed as there used to forza ,NFS & so on and that cash flow completely eclipsed the PC cash flow that AC generated early on. I'm glad they at least let you put the car in gear now before the start lights go out ,well 3 seconds before but you can do it now ! Put simple AC has alot of arcade like features and not enough actual racing features when compared to rf2. this is a pretty big deal when it comes to trying to simulate real racing and more so in endurance racing (where AC falls short).its just not modeled, then theirs the training wheels 'auto pit limiter' rely ? they don't trust us to drive threw the pits so they just auto limit you lol. nor will you ever over heat them or suffer from break fade. The psyx also models allot more than the AC sim. ĪC is a fantastic sim however it falls a bit short in the actual racing with its lack of features ,some have been added along the way with apps but if you look at the ISI gMotor engine, It has the ability to create any kind of racing you want with safety cars, driver swaps, day/night/rain/ standing starts rolling starts ,pace car starts ,parc ferme live stewards to hand out the proper penalties, just to name a few of the hundreds of options you have with rf2. įor me I feel that rf2 might have the edge on psyx and for sure has the edge on actual racing environment. Its a virtual war zone of "my sim's better than yours" out there so i will tread lightly ! lol. This is a highly debated subject ! 1,000's of pages across the various sim sites. Can I be sure that the physics certainty is just like the real life cars instead of the official contents? What about rFactor 2 modded cars? Let's say I download a mod for rF2 from a good modding site. Certainly, the various bindings for pitting, ignition, launch control, are an advantage respect to Assetto Corsa.īut there is still a question that I hope you'll be able to answer: Assetto Corsa contains a lot of car brands and, probably, their physics are just like the real life cars. Even with the default cars, like the Corvette and the Skip Barber, I really feel afraid of going fast because the handling of these is very delicate. I play Assetto Corsa since two years ago and I'm not used to rFactor 2 but I'm still interested. What is astonishing to me is the difference of fear of speed between these two games. I can run very fast with it and with lots of cars, I am not afraid of pushing at maximum just like a real world Toyota Yaris I've driven several times. Assetto Corsa has already lots of contents even without mods. Kunos Simulazioni's office is near the Vallelunga circuit in Italy and I read once that they preciously take every detail from each tested car.
